The sales assessment company, Objective Management, has identified the core competencies for succeeding in sales. Here are the ten we think are most important and directly related to the attitudes of your sales staff.

A successful salesperson:

  1. Writes goals
  2. Has a positive outlook
  3. Has supportive beliefs
  4. Takes responsibility
  5. Has Strong self confidence
  6. Controls their emotions
  7. Recovers from rejection
  8. Uses effective listening and questioning
  9. Has commitment
  10. Is Highly motivated
